Sold by the bunch of at least 7 or 8 radishes per bunch for 1.99 each. Did you know that radishes aid with digestion? That’s right. Radishes are high in fiber and other health benefits.

Radishes contain significant amounts of vitamin C and several other vitamins and minerals, and a few not-so-familiar phytochemicals such as indoles, which detoxify, and the powerful antioxidant flavonoids zeaxanthin, lutein, and beta carotene. Radishes also contain an important isothiocyanate antioxidant compound called sulforaphane, a proven cancer fighter. They remove bilirubin from the liver, preventing jaundice, and perform other healthful tasks like purifying kidney and urinary systems, regulating blood pressure, relieving congestion, and preventing respiratory problems such as asthma or bronchitis.

To liven up a salad and get some healthful benefits at the same time, add sliced radishes to your next tossed salad.

Radish Update, June 2018:

Due to the goofy weather we have had this spring, with it getting into the 95º – 100º temps in May, the radishes and cool weather crops are not happy. The radish crop is going to be very small this year due to the temps getting too hot too early in the year which is not favored by radishes. They like it cool and wetter than we have had this year. We still have radishes but supplies are limited.
